Because of the restoration and updating of Hotel 1929, we were advised by the Hotel to stay at a sister hotel "New Majestic". We were very satisfied indeed and highly recommend "The New Majestic Hotel".(Bernard I., United Kingdom)
The stay was very good with plenty to see and do in the local area. Public transort was clean and cheap if you wanted to venture further afield. The room was clean but because of its location within the Hotel the room was relatively small, stangely arranged and not like the photos on the Agoda website. The foot of the bed was the only way into bed. The wardrobe was a pole on the wall and the sink was in the bedroom. There was no fridge or minibar as stated in the room description and there was very little storage. But for short stays the Hotel was fine and would happily return in the future.(Anthony T., United Kingdom)
The street is completely gentrified and, while nice, a bit overdone and lacking character. The hotel attendants were very professional and helpful. The room was tiny, but amazingly functional. Only thing missing - towel rack. The street is nice and quiet at night, so it was easy to sleep. All in all, accommodation in Singapore is a rip off for what you pay! But this hotel was a decent experience.(Amber G., Australia)
