As a family of five, we prefer apartments to hotels and the space offered by the Orchard Park suites is very welcome. Three good-sized bedrooms with the master ensuite. The other bathroom had only a shower and was quite small with poor ventilation. The lounge and dining area was very spacious and while the kitchen was small, it had most amenities - a large fridge, cooker, microwave and loads of cutlery and crockery (no dishwasher). The decor was all a bit tired although I think they were re-doing some rooms, so maybe refurbishment is underway. The pool area is lovely and the gym, according to our teenagers, was great (they could go on while they exercised).
Breakfast was a continental buffet with lots of pastries, only problem was a severe shortage of tables, particularly when it rained as people couldn't sit outside then. There is no breakfast at weekends which seemed strange and as we arrived on the Saturday of Chinese new year we had no breakfast Sunday, Monday or Tuesday and no room cleaning either as that service (along with breakfast ) is not provided on public holidays! That really should be addressed. We had to phone for clean towels and toilet rolls!
